Bright Stars Nursery has stringent recruitment procedures in place to ensure that we recruit appropriately qualified staff that will be able to provide the best possible care and education for our nursery children.Untitled

The safety of our nursery children is our highest priority and we comply with all relevant legislation to ensure that all staff have the appropriate clearance to work with children. In addition all our staff are required to attend training in Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene which we believe contributes to our high standard of care. We ensure that we recruit members of staff at each of our Nurseries that hold high level qualifications such as; Qualified Teacher Status, Early Years Teacher Status, Early Years Professional Status, BA or Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies and NVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education. In addition we strive to ensure that all our staff are NVQ Level 3 qualified or working towards this level qualification. Regular training is available to all staff through a variety of providers and this is complemented by in-house training and staff supervision and appraisals on a regular basis.

Deputy Manager (Full Time) – Seaton Lodge, Enfield

We are looking for a committed and professional Deputy Nursery Manager to support the running of our Enfield Nursery.

The successful candidate will have significant experience as a Room Leader/Deputy Manager and be keen to work in a busy and vibrant environment.

A solid understanding of EYFS, Safeguarding and Child Protection is essential – as is a Level 3 qualification, or above, in Childcare.

The hours of the role are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 49 weeks per year.

Room Leader (Full Time) – Seaton Lodge, Enfield

We are looking for a professional and dedicated Room Leader to join our Enfield Nursery, working in our Baby Room.

The successful candidate will work closely with Nursery Management to lead their team and support the development of the children in their care. They will be able to foster effective relationships with their team getting the best out of them on a daily basis.

Level 3 Childcare qualification or above is essential for this role.

The hours of the role are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 49 weeks per year.

Nursery Practitioner (Full Time) – Littlebury, Cheshunt

Our nursery in Cheshunt is looking for an dedicated and committed Nursery Practitioner to join their team.

The nursery is currently rated as Good with Ofsted and caters for children from 3 months to 5 years.

The successful candidate must hold a Level 3 in Childcare, be energetic, enthusiastic and able to work using their own initiative as well as being able to contribute to a dedicated team.

Experience of being a key worker is desirable but not essential as in-depth training will be given to the successful applicant.

The hours of the role are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday 49 weeks per year.

Nursery Apprentice (Full Time) – Littlebury

We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice to join our Nursery in Cheshunt.

The successful candidate will be able to show a keen interest in Childcare, be professional, energetic and a good team player.

We accept unqualified candidates to complete the full two year course (up to Level 3) or someone already at Level 2 who only requires the final year.

The hours of the role are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Nursery Chef (Part Time) – Edmonton

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic chef at our Edmonton Nursery.

The ideal candidate will have a Food Handling certificate and have worked in a busy nursery setting.

We are, however, open to considering someone with more informal experience.

The hours of the role are 8am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Bank Staff – all settings

We are currently recruiting for Bank Staff to join our team across our nurseries in Cheshunt, Enfield, Edmonton and Southgate.

We need flexible staff who can adapt to any of our settings, covering busy periods and making a positive difference to the children in our care.

This role would be on a zero hour contract and is a great opportunity to build on a career in childcare.
