Our Nursery Setting
Bright Stars – Littlebury provides children with plenty of access to natural light and free flow to exciting outdoor play areas from our two carefully designed and furnished buildings. This enables children of all ages to access our outside learning areas in all weathers throughout the year. The variety of toys, equipment and activities on offer reflect our commitment to ensuring that children have stimulating experiences and enjoy their days with us. Children’s toys and materials have been specifically chosen to encourage children’s purposeful play, we promote the use of open ended resources such as blocks and the use of natural resources which capture the child’s interests.
Starlings – Under 2 years
Our ‘littlebury’ building provides a safe and nurturing space for our babies and children in the under 2 years age group where they feel safe, secure and valued so that they can in turn achieve their potential by learning, playing and socialising in a happy and fun atmosphere.
Starfish (2-3 years) and Bright Stars (3-5 years)
Our Main Hall building provides an ideal space for children in our Starfish and Bright Stars groups. We have created a stimulating and enabling environment here where children can self-select activities as they grow and learn to be independent. Children here have free flow access to the garden area which has been landscaped to a high standard and designed to complement and promote play and learning in the 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as well as promoting children’s love of the outdoors and providing opportunities for children to exercise their physical skills.
CCTV
All our nursery rooms and garden areas are covered by CCTV cameras which provide additional security for all our nursery children and staff. The safety and well-being of our Nursery children and staff is something we consider to be our first priority.
Parent Information
We provide a comprehensive information booklet for our new parents which includes outlines of our Policies and Procedures. We also use ‘iConnect’ to feedback to parents daily by email and we send out newsletters to parents at the beginning of each month. In addition, our nursery notice boards and Facebook page provide a variety of information for our parents and these are updated on a regular basis.
Viewing and Registration
Please ask for our Nursery Manager, Mel, to make an appointment to view the nursery. A registration form will need to be completed to place your child on our nursery waiting list.
