Bright Stars Nursery has stringent recruitment procedures in place to ensure that we recruit appropriately qualified staff that will be able to provide the best possible care and education for our nursery children.

The safety of our nursery children is our highest priority and we comply with all relevant legislation to ensure that all staff have the appropriate clearance to work with children. In addition all our staff are required to attend training in Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene which we believe contributes to our high standard of care. We ensure that we recruit members of staff at each of our Nurseries that hold high level qualifications such as; Qualified Teacher Status, Early Years Teacher Status, Early Years Professional Status, BA or Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies and NVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education. In addition we strive to ensure that all our staff are NVQ Level 3 qualified or working towards this level qualification. Regular training is available to all staff through a variety of providers and this is complemented by in-house training and staff supervision and appraisals on a regular basis.

Room Leader–Bright Stars Nursery, Enfield, London

08:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)

As a team leader you will be required to run the room and support the staff team within the room. The successful applicant will be passionate about working in childcare, work well within a team and develop excellent relationships with parents as well as having a very good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.

Our ideal candidate will have;

  • A minimum of NNEB or NVQ3 qualification in Childcare with at least 2 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of leading a team & the ability to support the Nursery Management by helping our nursery team provide a high standard of childcare and education through delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Knowledge of planning, assessment and curriculum. With an ability to be reflective of practice.
  • The ability to achieve and maintain high standards of care and consistent environments for children.
  • The ability to communicate confidently with other professionals, parents and children.
  • The ability to be motivated and be able to motivate children and staff in your team.
  • The ability to form caring and trusting relationships with the children and their families.
  • The ability to ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

NURSERY PRACTITIONER–Bright Stars Nursery, Edmonton, London – Actual salary range £16,000-£17,500

08:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)

We are looking for a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our Edmonton team. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of NNEB or NVQ3 qualification in Childcare.

Your role will include;

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the room
  • Maintaining high quality early years practice.
  • Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS.
  • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
  • Ensuring the health, safety and well being of the children at all times.

Office Administrator–Bright Stars Nursery Head Office, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire-Salary Range £18,000 – £24,000

09:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)

A great opportunity for a competent office administrator to join the Bright Stars Nursery group  at our Head Office in Cheshunt to support MD and Company Directors in the day-to-day management of administrative functions which will include duties in the areas of HR, Finance, Marketing and Social Media.  This post will be responsible for the Company’s social media presence under guidance from the Marketing Director and will also include general office tasks such as answering the telephone, filing, and photocopying.  Educated to A Level or equivalent the post holder will have excellent verbal and written skills as well as proofreading, the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, computer literate with a good knowledge of social media and it’s applications and the ability to learn various software and computer applications, the ability to communicate and maintain relationships with colleagues customers and other stakeholders and have excellent organisational skills and a willingness to diversify knowledge.  Previous office administrative experience would be helpful.

NURSERY PRACTITIONER–Bright Stars Nursery Littlebury, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire – Salary range £15,500-£17,000

08:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)

Ideally applicants will be level 3 qualified (or equivalent), in the early year’s sector, have a good working knowledge and experience of the EYFS framework, an understanding of Ofsted regulations and be able to demonstrate good working practices.

NURSERY PRACTITIONER – Bright Stars Pre-School, Southgate, London N14 Actual Salary Range: £11,000- £13,000 (39 weeks/year)

08:00 – 16:00 Monday–Friday (Term Time only)

Enthusiastic practitioner required to join our established team at this popular pre-school in Southgate. Previous experience of working with children in the 2-5 year age range and an NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent is desirable.
