Our Nursery Setting
At Bright Stars Pre-School we provide a stimulating and fun environment where our staff encourage children ‘s progress through the 7 areas of learning in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guidance. We have a large main hall and a small room which is used for small group work and some of our extra-curricular activities, such as French. Our large garden ensures that children have the benefit of free-flow into a rich and exciting outdoor area where learning continues. We provide pre-school care and education for children from 2-5 years daily from 09:00-15:00 for 39 weeks of the year (term-time) only. Additionally we run our holiday club for children from 2-9 years in the Easter and Summer holidays. We offer nursery education grants for qualifying 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Children bring a packed lunch along to our nursery sessions and we provide a healthy morning and afternoon snack.
We carry out a variety of extra-curricular activities at Bright Stars Pre-School and these currently include French, Ballet and Jolly Phonics.
All our parents will receive an informative parent information booklet when your child starts with us and we feedback on your child’s progress on a daily basis. In addition we send out a newsletter at the beginning of each half term which gives lots of information about your child’s pre-school day and future plans. We hold a parent evenings each year when you will receive a written report outlining your child’s progress at nursery.
